We have had the following from Scout Scotland about an open evening for the local Scout Groups

Are you are able to support your local Scout Group please? 

We are holding an Edinburgh Scouts Information event to cover our 14 Scout Groups in Portobello, Craigentinny, Craigmillar, Duddingston, Calton, Joppa, Stockbridge, Pilrig, Broughton, Trinity, Leith, Newhaven, Wardie and Willowbrae. We want to offer more pupils the experience of Scouts but can only do so with the support of the local community and nurseries to engage with parents/carers as new adult volunteers of the next generation.

Sign up for the online information evening on Tuesday 29th November at 7.30pm here https://sesscouts.org.uk/edinburgh-north-east-scouts-information-event/   We know everyone is busy, so this event is taking place online to fit in around family, work and life. It’ll only take 1 hour and will be informative. 

BUT, the aim is to engage with more adult volunteers because, with more volunteers, we can enable more young people to enjoy scouts and reduce our youth waiting list which sits at 100!

And, there is scope for your nursery parents to ensure their child enjoys Scouting sooner, ie not on a 1-1.5 year waiting list, if they offer to help you see. Please note we are a voluntary organisation led and run by volunteers.
