Edinburgh’s first Million Mile Beach Clean is from 10.30am on Sunday, 20 February in Portobello. Surfers Against Sewage want to get 100,000 people across the UK to each clean 10 miles of their local blue and green spaces. They’re kicking off the first Million Mile Beach Clean of 2022 in Edinburgh. They’re meeting place at the bottom of Kings Road on the Promenade. The Million Mile Clean campaign is to mobilise 100,000 people across the UK to each clean 10 miles of their local blue and green spaces.

A crew will be filming for a Scottish Government Road Safety TV advert in Colliesdene Avenue on 22 and 23 February. The advert is to encourage the public not to use a mobile phone while driving. The road will be closed to through traffic. Residents in the closed part have been informed by letter and will still be able to get in and out, though they may be asked to wait for a couple of minutes during takes.
