The owners of 14 Bath Street – the listed former bingo hall and George Cinema – have submitted a new planning application. This follows previous refusals by the City of Edinburgh Council and on appeal to the Scottish Planning Reporter. The proposal is available using references 20/05800/FUL and 20-05799/LBC on the City of Edinburgh Council Planning Portal.
In summary the proposal is: “Demolition of auditorium and retention and partial restoration of principal external elements of the Art Deco facade, erection of 21 residential flats with associated car parking and landscaping”. The major change from previous applications is a new structural report.
