Dear All
These are not the easiest of times for any of us, but I do wish you all the very best for 2021 and hope that you and yours stay safe and well. I’m keeping this one short as I have a lot to catch up on.

The guardrails at either end of the pedestrian Bingham Tunnel, linking to the Hays, were demolished by vandalism. The intention is to replace the rails with substantial bollards and drop the kerbs to make the area accessible to cycles and mobility scooters and stop any vehicles getting through.
Here’s a nice story about a former pupil of Portobello High School in the news: https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/people/meet-edinburgh-girl-who-moved-ghana-during-pandemic-3070285
It was lovely to see our brave and hardy sea swimmers also featured in a positive piece to cheer us during lockdown: https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/lifestyle/christmas/pictures-swimmers-brave-portobello-beach-christmas-day-festive-dip-3079130
