The construction works programme for the new Castlebrae Community Campus is progressing well following the delays imposed by Covid-19 restrictions. So exciting! The steel structure is nearly finished and the ‘Topping Out’ ceremony is due to take place next Thursday, 3 December. The revised proposed completion date for the project is December 2021 and this means that the new school should be ready for moving in early 2022. Portobello Central have submitted their proposals for the community to take over Portobello Town Hall. The closing date for offers is Monday 30 November. More here: https://www.portobellocentral.org/.
If you are on Facebook, you will probably have heard this fabulous price of music by locally based music group Oi Musica in preparation for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference next year in Glasgow. ‘Enough is Enough’ is performed by Karine Polwart, Oi Musca and the Soundhouse Choir. Totally fab! The You Tube link is here: https://youtu.be/tz8ex7Mnjb4. More about the amazing Oi Musica and their work here: http://oimusica.co.uk/
