The Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC), in partnership with Drummond Community High School, are organising an event to facilitate a discussion between service providers in public and third sector, and asylum seekers and refugees in order to hear from the refugees first-hand about their actual circumstances and needs and link them with the suitable existing services. The event will take place on Tuesday, 6 December, 4:30 to 7:30 at Drummond Community High school, 41 Bellevue Place, Edinburgh EH7 4BS.
The organisations which are encouraged to attend and participate in the event will be those providing support and services to ethnic minorities and migrants in the areas of employment, immigration and legal advice, health, education and language support, women and families support, housing, and any other area which could be of interest for the refugees.
The aim of the event is to give an opportunity to refugees and asylum seekers to discuss their needs with the service providers and to identify the gaps in service provision. Members of the community are welcome to join us and show their support.
The event will include inspirational speeches, musical performance by pupils from Drummond High school and refreshments.
The event is free but participants need to book by contacting ELREC at 0131 556 0441 or by email:admin@elrec.org.uk or through Eventbrite:https://
We look forward to seeing you
Kind Regards
