The campaign to take Bellfield into community ownership has now reached another important milestone, and we are hosting a public event to share progress and gather feedback on the way we propose to take the project forward.
We would therefore like to extend an invitation to you to join us on Tuesday 15th of November at 7.00pm in Portobello and Joppa Parish Church (formerly St Phillips).
The public event will present an opportunity for you to hear about our general efforts to acquire, develop and run Bellfield on behalf of the community (some of you may have seen the recent press coverage of the Scottish Government’s endorsement of our Community Right to Buy application) and we will also take this opportunity to set out the next key steps in the process.
We also plan to use the meeting on the 15th to formally launch Action Porty, the community-controlled company we have established to acquire Bellfield.
