Portobello Community Council wants to hear your views on a major development which could shape Baileyfield, Portobello, and the surrounding area for years to come.

Supermarket chain Aldi and housebuilders Cruden have submitted an application for outline planning permission in principle for a residential development of around 220 new homes and detailed planning permission for an Aldi food store with associated car parking and landscaping.

The community council is seeking to canvass the views of 12,000 residents and business owners who live or operate within the EH15 area and has today launched an online survey to start gathering opinions. It will be promoted via Facebook and Twitter as well as other local websites. 

A leaflet alerting residents to the consultation is scheduled to be delivered to 5,000 homes from Monday, 13 October.
