Summary of Planning Applications and Decisions for week commencing 21 July 2014

In the Portobello area, the following major planning application has been decided in the last week:

  • 13/03181/FUL has been granted following committee hearing in Feb and subsequent legal agreement: residential development of 220 units comprising houses, cottages and flats and two commercial units at Newcraighall North
    • (Legal agreement covers 25% affordable housing; £415,000 toward Newcraighall Primary School; £25,000 toward play park in Newcraighall Park, Toucan crossing near primary school plus other measures and £5,000 related to traffic & footways)

The following minor applications have been decided:

  • 14/02353/FUL has been granted: form sunroom to rear of house at 19 Coillesdene Crescent
  • 14/02048/FUL has been granted: remove existing roof over side and rear extension, increase height of walls, form new roof over extensions, replace windows and doors and alter some external openings at 26 Coillesdene Crescent
  • 14/01997/FUL has been granted: single-storey extension to rear and new ground floor bathroom at 72 Brunstane Road

One new application has been submitted:

  • 14/02833/FUL: Single storey extension to rear; attic conversion with dormer to rear and velux
    windows to front, at 1 Brunstane Bank
